The world’s diamond capital: Antwerp or Amsterdam?

After the Second World War, the diamond shopper’s paradise moved from The Netherlands to Belgium. Amsterdam used to be the ultimate city for diamond shopping, but today it is mainly known for its tulips and canals. Antwerp took over Amsterdam’s role of diamond hot spot and is nowadays known for diamonds and chocolates. More than 70 % of all diamonds are traded there. Jewellers like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels buy their precious stones in Antwerp.

Thousands of visitors from all over the world come to Diamondland to buy their diamond jewellery right at the source. Where better than Antwerp’s largest showroom? We are conveniently located near Central Station.
